Laminated timber, or ‘engineered timber’ is created by laminating (edge gluing or face gluing) and/or finger jointing timber in the length to create a uniform stable defect free product. Engineering wood in this way provides many benefits, there is far less wastage, defects such as knots can be removed or hidden - resulting in a superbly consistent end product. This is available from stock in a range of sizes produced in European oak, American white oak and American white ash. We can also laminate any other species of hardwood on our own presses. At the moment bespoke finger jointing is not possible.
