Yard Manager - April 2024
We are seeking a dedicated and conscientious person to join our Operations Team and take over the reins from our retiring Yard Manager, who will be leaving the business at the end of August.
This role will involve overseeing the planning, coordination and control of all Yard Operations.
The Yard Manager will lead their team of experienced Timber & Panel Products personnel, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, tidy and organised workplace. Additionally, they will liaise with other departments to coordinate yard activities and support overall business objectives.
The Yard Manager will ensure that goods and services are picked and produced efficiently; that they are of the right quality and quantity and are produced on time, to the satisfaction of the customer.
It would be desirable but not essential to hold the following skills.
- Knowledge of modern timber yard operating techniques
- Organisational abilities
- Initiative and problem solving skills
- Resourcefulness and the ability to troubleshoot
- Analytical skills
- Diplomacy and sensitivity
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Reasonable IT skills, including Microsoft & Bistrack software
- Reasonable knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and procedures associated with our business sector.

HGV Class 2 Drivers - April 2024
We currently require qualified Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our Transport team.
The candidates will ideally have some experience in this or similar roles and some knowledge of multi-drop deliveries and strapping loads, however this is not essential.
They will have a thorough approach, an eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
